The Chiefs lost their first playoff game to the Lizzards on Friday night by a score of 6-4. The Lizzards were suprised as a depleted Chiefs team played extremely well. With Larry McCarthy suspended for one game for making snow angels on the ice the Chiefs mighty defense stepped up. Brian "The Wall" Roth, Dennis "St. Pats" McBride, and Ian "The Greatest Hockey Player in the World" Silber frustrated a powerful Lizzard team as Alex "The Ham" Berger played stellar in goal. "It was fun watching Ian get hit by slap shot after slap shot. It may a pleasant thunking sound as it bounced off his steel like hide" said amazed Chiefs player Jeff "Eagle Eye" Hawkinson. "The extra weight I have put on these last few weeks really helped me not get out of the way of those shots! Hopefully, by the spring session I will be large enough to block the shots from the Blue line." said Ian "The Greatest Hockey Player In The World" Silber. With only two minutes to go in the game the score was 5-4. Eric "Look I scored" Goff got two goals to help keep the Chiefs in the game. Andy "Speedy" Tousignant got a goal and two assists. The Chiefs pulled their goalie resulting in the last goal with 23 seconds left in the game.
